Satellite TV Programming

Satellite TV Programming

Multi channel programming is a state of the art really. The ability to choose which channels you want and how many of that genre is a great step forward. No other industry has truly expanded upon this aspect like the satellite industry has. You are now able to view the channels you want to see like never before. Putting out more channels and with greater variety has put the satellite TV industry above and beyond the cable industry forever.

Multi channel programming might sound really fancy but in reality the concept is simple. You produce more channels of the same or different types of genre and in return your customer base will grow with your channels. DirecTV and Dish Network now offer many options of this nature. There are multiple HBO, Showtime, and Movie channels available for those who really want to watch them. What is so great about these different channels? They are all showing different things at the same time. It is variety within variety and that is what makes this kind of programming so special.

It is easier and becomes easier to watch what exactly what you want to watch. This is all in thanks to multi channel programming. You have more options, time, and chances, of getting to see the show you really care to watch. With advanced showtime listings as well, you do not have to worry about knowing when your program is going to be aired on TV.

The satellite industry also makes leaps and bounds over that of the cable industry so far by limiting what exactly you want your children to watch. Perhaps you don’t want them to see a certain kind of program. You are able to block that out with restrictions. This is done by using locks and keys.

You are able to select what kind of show is right for your entire family by the rating it is given from the MPAA. Once you lock the system to play exactly what you want it to based on rating, you are good to go. In order to watch films or shows that bypass the rating given for your family, simply enter the same lock code again to free it or to watch the show that you want.

Satellite television has the best programming I think. The sound is clear, the picture is fantastic if you have the right gear to go along with it, and the options to choose from are numerous. Customer service is also an important part of this industry, because frankly, it is a lot more confusing to most people than basic cable TV is.

Cable TV is simply just hooking up your box to the TV set with a couple of wires. Satellite systems involve the dish, the receiver, the DVR or HD receiver for that matter, the wiring, the programming, and so forth. However with that said, the plight to advance is well worth it and in fact, customer service is excellent. At this time Dish Network was ranked #1 in customer satisfaction and DirecTV came in second.
